From California to New York, our clients at GSD Solutions have been using virtual networking events to grow their businesses during the pandemic. When venues started to close due to COVID-19, businesses that depended on in-person events and networking to grow became very fearful of how they would be able to keep going. As the pandemic progressed, people became Zoomed out and overwhelmed with basic webinars. With our new normal of poor connections, hackers, and time limits, there was hardly any room for enjoyment. So companies like California Lutheran University, Driven Society and East Coast Wine X started to look for alternative ways to bring back their events. All three of these companies contacted us at GSD Solutions to inquire about how we could help them create high-quality networking events online.
For the execution of these quality virtual events, we recommended Remo, the online interactive event platform. Each organization had unique needs and different target audiences from corporate leaders to entrepreneurs and creatives. Nonetheless, we’ve helped all three to keep their businesses alive through high impact virtual networking events.

California Lutheran University – Corporate leaders Breakfast
California Lutheran University established the Corporate Leaders Breakfast Series in 2002 to bring top executives in the business community together to hear engaging speakers and relevant panel discussions with the opportunity to network with business leaders from Ventura, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara counties and beyond. The series continues in a virtual format, welcoming remote participants from all over the globe.
Before the pandemic, this quarterly event took place in person. During the pandemic we helps California Lutheran University to convert this event to the virtual ecosystem

Driven Society – The Reserve Creative Marketplace
Driven Society is the leading platform for multicultural professionals and creatives. They are an organization focused on building success for millennials and post-millennials by providing professional resources, mentorship, and specialized live events. Offering event production, experiential marketing, content creation, original music sourcing and influencer outreach services to partners interested in incorporating a level of educational entertainment and multicultural elements into their events. Their services are perfect for brands that want to see an increase in audience engagement and customer loyalty.
GSD Solutions came onboard for their event, The Reserve; a showcase and creative marketplace for brands, products and new services. Featuring small businesses, tech start-ups and brands.
This event normally takes place in a pop-up shop location and buyers can come in live and shop from the various businesses present. With social distancing and venue restrictions, this was not possible. We worked with Driven Society to create a custom Remo Map that would give the look and feel of an open space.

East Coast Wine X
East Coast Wine X started in January 2020 with the intention of launching wine tours in the summer of that year. The onset of the global pandemic called for a pivot into digital events and GSD Solutions came through to help facilitate their virtual wine experience.
GSD Solutions set up their virtual wine event on the Remo platform. We provided pre-event and live event tech support to make sure the event ran smoothly. Our operations team ensured that our client could focus on interacting with their guests. Remarkably, East Coast Wine X was able to bring in $8,000 in sales while their non-profit client raised $30,000 during their virtual wine fundraising event. And although there was the occasional hassle of making sure people got their wine in time for the tasting, they found that virtual events, when set up right, can be absolutely fantastic and engaging.
The company feels optimistic about continuing with virtual events, even after COVID restrictions have lifted. This will allow wineries to meet new customers and for their fundraising events to continue–particularly during the winter months.
