How to Use a Virtual Background in Zoom

If you want to upload a virtual background while in a Zoom meeting, 

1.  Select the video settings (accessed by hitting the caret beside the video icon.) 
2. Then, you want to choose a virtual background, assuming that you have the virtual background feature on. How to Turn on Virtual Backgrounds in Zoom Settings. 
3. You want to choose a virtual background. I have a few virtual backgrounds already uploaded, so they show up on the bottom of my screen. I also have a green screen, so my virtual backgrounds come through a little bit cleaner than other people’s might. 
4. Select “I have a green screen” if you have a green screen, or don’t select that option if you don’t have one. Then the background will populate based on whichever option picked so that you could get a better, cleaner effect on your video. 
5. The text is actually backwards on the image uploaded as my virtual background, so it reads as correct because I’ve mirrored my background. 

Virtual backgrounds can also be used for marketing or promotion. For example, if I place a virtual background with my book in the background I could market it and promote my brand.
